Nursery daycare in Albany, Washington
Our Nursery at Albany in Washington is housed within a self-contained part of a building at Albany Village Primary School.
We have three main rooms offering plenty of open spaces for activities, relaxation and sleep. The building is clean, light and airy and has a welcoming feel. Furniture and furnishings have been carefully chosen to create a safe, secure, comfortable environment filled with activities that will provide effectively for children’s interests and their varying needs throughout the day.
A large outdoor area is directly adjoined to the premises and this can be accessed easily by the children. The premises are well secured by mesh fencing and high wooden fencing and the front entrance has robust security features. A large public car park directly outside the school’s main gates means abundant off-road parking for parents and carers for dropping off and collecting their children. Our proximity to the local primary school means availability of ‘all-through’ care and education for families.

Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities
Each child has a named key person, who supports them and liaises with families. The key workers are supported by our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and the deputy SENCO. The SENCO and key person meet with the family of any children who require any additional support, putting targeted plans in place that are outcome focused. Any plans that are in place are reviewed regularly with parents/carers to ensure that these are current and specific to the child's individual needs.
Working with outside agencies
We may need to work alongside additional agencies to support children in the best way possible; this might include, Health Visitors, Speech and Language Therapists, Behaviour Support and Child Psychologists for example. We would always seek parental consent before doing this and you would be involved with the process throughout. Castle Kindergarten will always work in partnership with families and professionals to try and fully meet the individual child's needs.
We always seek additional training and support where necessary.
